  • Problem I see with this is the destruction of the T-cell. T-cell reduction would bring about a lowered immune response efficiency from an actual viral or bacterial infection?

    You are totally right ! This is exactly why it is so delicate to balance well between an controlled immunosuppression in order for the body not to reject the graft, and not a too intensive immunosuppression which could expose the patient to infections.
