U.S. President Barack Obama tells the United Nations that a Palestinian state will only be achieved through talks with Israel. He also calls for "urgent and coordinated" action to rescue the global economy.
United States President Barack Obama pressed Israel and the Palestinians on Wednesday to relaunch peace talks.
He made a last-ditch attempt to avert a U.N. crisis over Palestinian statehood and pull his Middle East policy back from the brink of diplomatic disaster.
Addressing world leaders at the opening of a U.N. General Assembly session, Obama put the burden of responsibility on the two sides to break a year-long impasse and get back to the negotiating table.
[Barack Obama, U.S. President]:
"I am convinced that there is no short cut to the end of a conflict that has endured for decades. Peace will not come through statements and resolutions at the U.N. - if it were that easy, it would have been accomplished by now. Ultimately, it is Israelis and Palestinians who must live side by side. Ultimately, it is Israelis and Palestinians - not us - who must reach agreement on the issues that divide them: on borders and security; on refugees and Jerusalem."
Grappling with economic woes and low poll numbers at home and growing doubts about his leadership abroad, Obama is wading into Middle East diplomacy at a critical juncture for his presidency and America's credibility around the globe.
[Barack Obama, U.S. President]:
"We seek a future where Palestinians live in a sovereign state of their own, with no limit to what they can achieve. There is no question that the Palestinians have seen that vision delayed for too long. And it is precisely because we believe so strongly in the aspirations of the Palestinian people that America has invested so much time and effort in the building of a Palestinian state, and the negotiations that can deliver a Palestinian state."
The president confirmed U.S. support for Israel.
[Barack Obama, U.S. President]:
"America's commitment to Israel's security is unshakeable, and our friendship with Israel is deep and enduring. And so we believe that any lasting peace must acknowledge the very real security concerns that Israel faces every single day."
In his speech at the U.N., Obama also touted his support for democratic change sweeping the Arab world and urged further U.N. sanctions against Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.

The elitists are satanists and mostly Jew. God said they were the chosen to his liking. Throughout the bible, God controlled he Israelite under the guidance of the prophet Moses. God referred to Moses and then Jacob as his servants or "slaves" and sacked 100's of towns and kingdoms killing millions of people. All this with the promise of land, milk and honey. The Israelis knew killing and FEARED their own God.. That's what's happening today, The NWO = The Reptilian's agenda war and FEAR..
