EDINA,CHAMPLIN Minn. -- On the coldest morning of the fall so far, people lined up as early as 1:00 a.m. to get their hands on the Cities 97 Sampler CD Volume 23.
It's sold exclusively at metro area Targets and most open their doors at 8am. That means thousands braved temperatures in the teens to get the CD.
The Sampler is a hot item because there are only 33,000 available for purchase and they typically sell out in a few hours.
The songs are all unique to this CD since they're recorded in the Cities 97 studios, or on site at local performances by top music artists like Adele, Mumford and Sons and O.A.R.
All proceeds from the CD go to local charities.

@wtf4688 I have looked that CD up it's nothing I would want in my collection. Sort of like pacifist music for Lawrence whelk fans. We as a country are so divided and royally fucked, because those are all the voters who have time in their lives. So when they voice an opinion Fox news says it true that statistically that's what Americans believe to be true. I think that crew is still stuck on the under or over toilet paper debate...Mean while in Afghanistan..
