Behold! The first look trailer for Making History II: The War of the World, a strategy title for the PC that will try to change the way we all play strategy games online.
@ShitMovies2000 thanks. I think you're right it'd be perfect for teaching about apeasment (it's easy to decry appeasement when you down have Hitlers tank cannons down your throat) and the state of the diplomatic world. For example the relationship between China, America and Japan. By understanding their need for resources I think the kids can gain a far more comprehensive understanding of the era and the issues that went into play.
@Limejello10512 Ooh, that's interesting! I had a great history teacher in High School (It was my best subject!) - this game would be cool to teach about appeasment and stuff - maybe you could use it on like the smart board in the class room?
@ShitMovies2000 yeah in fact I understand the game was designed to teach children via multiplayer (that's why I bought it I'm learning to be a history teacher)
@ShitMovies2000 yeah this game AI screams "I was meant for multi player" There I was liberating france from the germans handing over territories to the french forces who had absoloutely NO millitary whatsoever when out of nowhere they declared war on me..... wft?
@Limejello10512 I know it's shit, but it's not a very stable game anyway...the developers have good intentions and such, it's just a shame none of hte big-developers make interesting games any more.
So, all the interesting ideas are left with small companies who can't really afford to make very complex games with decent AI etc. It's a shame.
@ShitMovies2000 gah would it be so hard to just re-edit the resources and through in a few extra techs and units (maybe put in an extra zero on the end of the army strenght to allow for more diverse stregnths) and perhaps create undiscoverable territories.

@Limejello10512 I doubt it, but the game's pretty cheap anyways. It's good you're doing alternative/interactive stuff with your class though!

@ShitMovies2000 yeah I think that was the original intent. I wonder if there's a discount so I can buy it for the classroom like with the original.

@Limejello10512 Yeeah, it makes the game seem so...lifeless and dull :\
I really wanted to be just like Germany and the UK, during the policy of appeasment in the build up to WW2...but the AI was just too retarded haha.
Is there a multiplayer mode even?
