  • This is Christopher Tin's song. We built a church in Tanzania and taught the congregation this song to sing at the opening Mass of St. Judes in Ilboru in April 2009. They never heard this song before... Thought I would clear the air and give credit to where credit is due. Thank you Christopher Tin.

  • You guys understand there's a difference between music and lyrics, right?

The lyrics to this have been around since The Lord's Prayer was written 2,000 years ago.

The MUSIC was written by Christopher Tin and he set the lyrics to it.

  • @CovertCabbage you really DO have A BRAIN OF A CABBAGE! Msenge we! Shindwa na ulegee! THIS SONG IS OLDER that Civ 4, Christopher Tin rearranged it to fit what he wanted and if u have good ears u will hear the difference in the two versions.. All i am tryna say is that CHRISTOPHER TIN has his VERSION but the ORIGINAL SONG of "Our Father/The Lord's Prayer" has been sung in Tanzanian churches for years! mtshw! Which part of Tanzania r u from?

  • @we315tisini GASP! Lies!! NOTHING existed before Civ IV!

  • @RyenHH this is the lords prayer, they had versions of this song out way before the game. they just took this song and did a remnix for the game. you just hear about the game version more now.

  • @abofs wrong....the song was sang this way already so Christopher Tin remixed it a lil

  • Well, it's The Lord's Prayer in Swahili, so may well have been sung Tanzania for years before the Christopher Tin arrangement which was made for Civ 4. This performance is clearly different from the Civ 4 version which, like it or not, has made the song famous.

  • People saying this is originally from civ 4? WTF? i know the song cause of civ4 but i got more brains then thinking is is originally from that...

What about this song exists since people in far distant lands believe in god?

    I mean... thats pretty plausible...

Besides the bullshitty comments:P WAUW! some woman there sing HIGH! and not just high... like... fucking high....

    WAUW!

    epic!

  • @RyenHH Wrong, wrong and u better check ur facts before posting them here.. this song goes waaay! back and yes i am Tanzanian ans sung it at school GROWING up, waay before Civ IV was made!

    Asante

  • It is originally a Catholic song sang during the "Our Father" part of the mass the game just borrowed it ...it's been sang for years and years in many variations....
