We just had the engine and gear rebuilt, had the wings pulled off, everything gone through and new tanks put in the wings. There was a slight problem of the timing being 360 degrees off but our crack mechanic quickly got to the bottom of the issue.

  • Roy Erickson, the mechanic in the video that did most of the work on our plane passed away in his sleep last night. I will miss him terribly. He was full of knowledge and great stories. He will always live as a legend with me. i got the great opportunity to work directly with him on our plane.

    Take care Roy.

  • It is a IO-470 with Gami injectors. We found out it really was only running on 4 cylinders because of contamination in the fuel manifold. It is now running great and we are days away from flying it. We are so excited we can hardly stand it. Then comes paint and interior, later a new panel but we are keeping the piano keys and old engine instruments.

  • What engine is that? O-470? Great that you could rebuild it and get it flying. Keep it up? Love the sound of those old Bonanzas!
