@KateAurellius 1. Twelve kingdoms is not a manga, it's actually a series of Novels by Fuyumi Ono. 2. Excellent anime with more ideas on humanity than on romance. IT is more on real life issues that people would have being thrown into a new world and on the horrors that humanity faces, including governmental horrors, murder, tradgedy, pain, loss and duty. ^.^ I loved it!

I love Hajimari No Kaze, but I was wondering about the anime/manga Twelve Kingdoms. I have read up on it a bit online... Is it romantic at all? Just curious... It didn't say anything of the sort in my research... I still want to find out more about it... If anybody could tell me a bit more about this I'd really appreciate it! Thank you very much! @KateAurellius This series originally started off as a series of novels of only which 4 were translated into english. Not Much of a romance Anime. more similar to Fushigi Yuugi in some aspects. An excellent series in regard to story, acting and music; if you are interestead in those kinds of things.
