A close up look at a comical everyday conversation, and how most people have got all the wrong answers when it comes to what a pyramid really is, and isn't!

--Five Apes--

There's this story about "The 5 Apes." It comes from a story told by Tom "Big Al" Schreiter, called "The Secret Habit That Forces Network Marketers To Struggle Through Out Their Career"

Start with a cage containing five apes. In the cage, hang a banana on a string and put stairs under it. Before long, an ape will go to the stairs and start to climb towards the banana.

As soon as he touches the stairs, spray all of the apes with cold water. After a while, another ape makes an attempt with the same result -- all the apes are sprayed with cold water.

Now, turn off the cold water.

Later, if another ape tries to climb the stairs, the other apes will try to prevent him from climbing the stairs to get the banana, even though no water sprays them.

Now, remove one ape from the cage and replace it with a new ape.

The new ape sees the banana and wants to climb the stairs. To his horror, all of the other apes attack him.

After another attempt and attack, the ape knows that if he tries to climb the stairs, he will be assaulted.

Next, remove another of the original five apes and replace it with a new ape.

The new ape goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous new ape takes part in the punishment with enthusiasm.

Again, replace a third original ape with a new one. The new one makes it to the stairs and is attacked as well.

Two of the four apes that beat him have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs, or why they are participating in the beating of the newest ape.

After replacing the fourth and fifth original apes, all the original apes that were sprayed with cold water have been replaced.

Nevertheless, no ape will ever approach the stairs again.

Why?

"Because that's the way it's always been around here."

And that's one of the reasons why a lot of people fail in MLM... or any business model.

Friends, family, and "well meaning folk" tend to fall into the easy trap of being negative so they can brush you off and ignore you. I call it the Ostrich Syndrome, or the Turkey Syndrome, because it's so much easier to "go with the herd" mentality than to soar on your own like an eagle.

A lot of people have this preconditioned notion (or a pre-programmed routine) that keeps playing on an endless loop that "everything is a scam."

Well, it's not.
It's time you break the cycle...There's No Cold Water to spray on you, but there is a whole New Life-Style waiting for you.
I have one GUARANTEE about our business. If you don't try anything you are GUARANTEED that NOTHING will change...

• The Limited time you have with your family Won't Change!
• Your current paycheck Won't Change!

It's Your Move... 100% Success | No Selling | No Recruiting required to Earn

  • @EllisEndye: 1) It's important to keep your job until you "Replace" your income; Some folks unfortunately never get it off the ground 2) You can make more money than your Sponsor 3) Some folks don't tell you what they are doing due to many times a self esteem issue. 4) The more you do on the JOB at the end of the day you've got the same pay. With Networking it's Exponential Growth my friend, but you really sound like you know what you're talking about & you should keep your Job. Many Blessings.

  • @kuyapjdotcom...There are in fact many programs out there that are certainly unfavorable...The company I am with is "CONSUMER DRIVEN" --NOT-- "PRODUCT DRIVEN" You can chose to NOT participate in the MLM side and earn a very Healthy income. I'm a 26 year veteran in the industry, and do understand your concerns, but Not All are Bad! I for one am not a fan of companies that have Mandatory Auto-Ships...Which is why I chose my current company. It is geared towards small businesses & the consumer.

why should we stay away from them? You know you probably work for a pyramid scheme. Walmart, Kroger, Dell, Apple, Microsoft are all Pyramid Schemes.

  • The LIFE business is the best business to get into right now if you hate your job. Trading time for money sucks..a pyramid would actually be a job. The owners of the company that people work for are the ones who make most of the money. With LIFE you make money as a team. In this economy it would be wise. Learn about the cash flow quadrant. You will always trade time for money as long as you are an employee or self employed. With doing power player in LIFE your income increases $200-300 a month..

  • I take it that you don't wash or clean your home, use make up or shave foam, aftershave, or deodorant. Also I take it that you don't use toilet tissue, kitchen towels or eat breakfast cereal. I could go on but I take it that you get the point.

  • @Pur3xGlobal auto ships are orders that ship to you every month automatically without reordering.

  • @kuyapjdotcom guess you cant fix stupid, stay broke

  • @Pur3xGlobal if you dont mind me saying, but what are auto ships?

  • @Pur3xGlobal very good points

  • People fail because the system itself dooms nearly all participants to failure. Arbonne is built on an endless chain of recruitment of participants as primary customers. It assumes both infinite markets and virgin markets, neither of which exist. It is therefore inherently flawed, fraudulent, and profitable only for founders and those at or near the top of their respective pyramids of participants. Even with their best efforts, the vast majority will always lose money."
