a cigar is a cigar, music is music. a "christian" cigar will do the same to your body as a "secular" cigar. i agree with marqj30, its the words that are important. a christian song is uplifting, positive, and glorifying to God. secular music is soaked and dripping with sin. as an artist myself, i take "secular" beats and am remaking them. not because of who made it, where it came from, and what it represents...but for the sound quality only.

Yeah, what if, Lecrae for example, came up with this beat first? You gotta listen to the lyrics. They're glorifing God and not themselves, that's all that matters. I don't believe in secular beats. Beats are beats, it's the lyrics that determine whether it's secular or not.

I agree! I think this song is great. So what if it came from a secular artist/song? The point IS that someone took the song and gave it a POSITIVE theme to it. People need to listen to the WORDS and message of the song instead of worrying about whether its a sample or a song from a rapper. Sometimes this is done so that people who may not have God in their life may listen to songs like these and hear the true message. If this song can inspire or teach someone about the love of God, why complain?

this is an example.- if i use to smoke cigars and Jesus saved me am not gana go and make a christian cigar. it makes no scene. we have to pull away and say god saved me from that. are testimony is about from were god brought us from!! so singing music from carnal artist is not okay because we are telling ppl look i use to do this before god saved me and now they are saying but your doing the same just changing the name to christian.

wat i thought the bible records that if any has praise it doesnt matter what it is as long as its for his glory- i mean yea u right about the cigar but u cant praise god with it but u can praise god about praising the lord even if the beat is from a worldly song its still in use of god's glory and im 15 year old christian who woulda thought

god loves the sinner not the sin!!! if you really look at it... who was in charge of the music in heaven the devil so if the devil was in charge dont you think he will use the same thing to draw ppl away from god!! you really have to think about it and not just feel the beat!! god can use these ppl and great ways but you first have to pull away from what we use to do in the past not make it christian!!

In the book of 1 Samuel Chapter 15. God told Samuel to tell Saul to destroy everything the Amalekites had because they were destroying his people. When Saul started destroying everything he saved some of the best sheep and oxen for God. When Saul returned, Samuel said What did you do. Saul replied saying He only saved them because they were still good, he was going to use them for God's Glory. Samuel replied saying God DOES NOT want anything from the Amleks who have been DESTROYING his people!

God loves Christian music. But taking a worldy song and rappin Christian lyrics to it isnt any different from listenin to the original song! God DOES NOT want ANYTHING from the world. ESPECIALLY songs from the World that are destroying his people. God doesnt want anything to do with the world! Even if its for his glory he doesnt want it because it is WORLDY. Our God is a Holy God.

all kinds of music touches people, its great that people of all kinds of music styles are preaching christ. some people think the old hyms are boring some dont some think rock is great and realy brings praise to the lord some think rockn roll comes from the devil, which is a load of crap. i like many types of music. i hated rap until i herd some preaching about christ. now i love it, but only if it involves christianity, its always fun, happy and shows us things in the bible.
