and there is NOTHING wrong with standing up for yourself. But do it at an appropriate time. Don't try to take on the whole world. The people are educated and know how gays feel. yet they say it anyways. Pick your battles wisely. And when necessary yes, stand up for yourself and educate the individual.

I disagree. I do get it. I didn't say anything offensive. I strongly support the gay community. But fighting a battle you cannot win isn't worth your time. I learned that a long ago, that you can't stop the world from using the phrases. Maybe one day people will move on to something else? probably not lol. I have this feeling we will always be bashed upon. All I'm saying is direct all that energy and motivation into doing something positive and helpful for the world or your community.

gay people tend to think of their sexuality as who they are. You are much more than your sexual preference. I do not agree with anything you say. You aren't going to stop people from saying it. Fight all you want that is wasted energy. You want to stand up for your community? Go build homes for the homeless or Volunteer or donate money. Unite as gays and do something instead of complaining. I'm gay and I've heard enough of this stupid debate. People will not stop just cuz you want them too.
