Sega Rally 2 - Arcade Mode on PC

(sorry for the awful times, but playing auto in pc is different than manual in arcade; my record there was 4'11)

You know something called nostalgia?
They closed the mall arcade last year, I was really pissed off. I played there since I was 5 (17 now). Mostly Daytona, Scud Race, and, of course, Sega Rally 2. Awsome game, when I saw the opportunity of having it I simply grabbed it. And here it is, the arcade mode with the Delta Integrale HF (my cousin has one ^^)

Just a side note about the music: The game, somehow, was giving no music at all. I'd rather have the original tunes, of course, but it's better than nothing at all.

Also, a little note on the music: it's the same as the Dreamcast version where Soul on Desert, Euro Fight! and Searchin' For My Dreams don't sound the same as on the original Sega Rally 2 arcade cabinet. Since the game uses Redbook audio, you can replace those songs with their original arcade counterparts. I don't get what's with Sega putting remixed music on their home console ports like this. The same thing was done with Sega Rally Championship and Daytona USA on the Saturn and PC.

@br0th3rsh00t3r - The music in the PC version of Sega Rally 2 does not appear to work on anything newer than Windows 98. I remember reading somewhere that you can get music in the PC version of Sega Rally 2 under XP, but I don't remember where I saw this.

Also, the game uses Redbook audio, which means the music is streamed straight off the disc and into your sound card. I know on older computers, you need to use a cable to link your CD/DVD-ROM drive to your sound card.

@VideeyaGames I'm sure this game is great. I just get really annoyed when i can't steer the car so i don't play it because i have a huge temper and i'm prone to breaking shit. Lol. By the way yes i love arcade style racers. :)

@TheUnbiasedGamer c'mon, don't knock it. you just gotta get used to it. i guess if you're in to more arcade racers, then that's cool (as am i). this is about as realistic as i get.
