Psyciatric medicine is still in the dark ages. In fifty years time they will look back in horror at some of the drugs and treatments that mentally ill people are given today.

unfortuntely I have experienced the adverse effects of this medication..given for "manic" symptoms ... i also have seen it work effectvely on sp,epme who needed it ... i didnt have tardive dyskinesia but did have audible voices and would describe it like a bad acid trip.

I don't think LSD ("acid") causes delusions of voices, or delusions at all in the proper sense, even in a "bad trip". Its effects are more accuratley described as illusions (breathing walls, tracers, etc.). There is a difference. But besides all that, I agree that Haldol and antipsychotics in general can have bad side effects.
