Have you come across the new Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV with neck-thru and active electronics? If so have you test played one and what do you think of it.

I bought this bass yesterday @ Sam Ash in NYC. This is a great axe! Excellent craftsmanship. It sounds great, it feels great and the price was right. It's made of Alder wood & it's a very heavy sounding bass. very deep & warm tones.

I bought this bass atSam Ash yesterday in NYC. This is a tremendous bass. A very well made, good priced bass for beginers or experienced players. Only problem is it's made in China. but, a good bass is a good bass no matter where it came from. But it would be better if it was made in The U.S.A. in my opinion.

did this feel top heavy? i love the tone but i always hear complaints people have that the headstcok is so bulky that with a strap it pretty much falls to the floor unless you hold the neck.
