Each time a holiday or new season rolls around I like to make a cute little vignette to display in my entryway. I usually make some sort of sign and then add a few cute home décor items.....and for the past few seasons I've made a banner! Banners are a hot new trend in scrapbooking and home décor -- and with the Jenni Bowlin chipboard banner pieces you can make your owner banner in a flash!

Products:

Jenni Bowlin: Chipboard Banner, Red Butterfly Stickers, Mini Die Cut Label Papers, Die Cut Frames
Lillybee Design: Hello Sunshine Paper and Chipboard Stickers, Printed Tickets
Prima: E-line flowers
Buttons Galore: Misc. Buttons
Crate Paper: Pink Plum Rub-ons

Instructions:

1. First, cover each chipboard banner piece as follows:
• S = Red Floral
• U = Blue & White Grid
• M = Red & Blue Square
• M = Red Dot
• E = Yellow Dot
• R = Stripe
2. Now you need to cut out your letters. If you would like to use the exact same letters that I used you can go to www.lemonpoppyshoppe.com and download a PDF of these letters. Just trace them onto the patterned paper and cut them out. I used the following papers for each letter:
• S = Yellow from die cut frame sheet
• U = Red Dot
• M = Stripe
• M = Blue & White grid
• E = Blue & Red square
• R = Grid paper from die cut frame sheet
3. Now just glue your letters down as shown and outline them with a fat black marker so that they stand out and are visible from far away.
4. Now you just need to arrange the embellishments. Please refer to individual photos for embellishment arrangement.
5. Please note that the scalloped border on M and on the letter R are both cut from the scalloped piece on the die cut frame sheet. I used half of the die cut on the letter R and then on the other half I cut off the border and adhered it to the letter M.
6. I also cut a few hearts out of the patterned paper. You can download this same heart on our website -- it's on the same PDF as the letters.
7. The last step is adding a few doodles here and there and adding a black line border around each banner piece.
8. Now all you have to do is string your banner together with ribbon and you're done!

  • Amanda, this is the absolute best video on banners I have seen. I especially love how you offset letter/flower, the sign of a true artist. Great job, great instructions, great color/patten choices. I give you a TEN!
