  • Fantastic interview. They even talked about some of my favorite feminists (Paglia and especially Sommers). It's very refreshing to hear a feminist point of view that isn't anti-male and wants the government out of people's lives rather than play substitute husband. Even acknowledging violence as something that isn't inherently male. Very inspirational.

  • Good interview (despite the cut off at the end).

This is one feminist that I can listen to :)

  • I just know how to recognize blatant contradiction and hypocrasy when I see it, and I dont approve of it, unless it is intended as a joke.

I think that we will always have hate as long as love still means anything.

I dont deny you the right to bitterness or hatred. Who would? What nonsense!

You are perfectly free to hate.

What are you talking about with the crying and menstruation bit?

There are billions of people, and this allows all kinds of silly nonsense to be said.

  • st37one,

I was trying to aknowelge the guyspoint of view. Do you deny me a right to feel badly about what was done? still, If I focus on the negative, it seem like I'm giving guys reason to hate themselves. I should state all facts: ex. It is because respectful males who recognize woman's humanity that women won the right to vote.

  • st37one, women have been hated just because they mensturate or cry. I look at guys a great creative beings. God created him, &his is good. I hate that one could look at me &hate me. Also, women are hated on for actions, mostly blamed for things when they didn't aim to hurt guys. Some guys have had deliberately done things to hurt women. I am hurt by those things.

I am hurt by & hate that one would feel that I am not worth his respect , while I respect him.

  • Was that really a response to my comment?

It is very hard to tell.

It is not uncommon in my experience to hear a vocal feminist expressing the desire to have it both ways.

You have provided another example of that.

You want to argue both that feminists are fully justified in hating men, but also that they dont really hate men, they just "state the facts".

Do you not see how much damage your two arguments inflict on each other?

  • feminism is about defending women againt unprovoked misogyny. It is true that misogynist and chauvinist have deliberately and inadvertly did things to hurt women. Stating the facts of those deeds is not hate on part of feminists.

Still, focusing too much on that instead of peace would agravate things.

you couldn't say someone unfairly hates you when they yell at you for hitting them with your car.- analogy.

  • gender eqaulity in the military draft is counter to feminist goals?

damn right it is unfeminist. "eqaulity" is just a euphemism for empowering women, and disempowering non-women. Freedom from all responsibility and the consequences of real choices is thought to be "empowering".

the central traits of modern feminism have been gynocentrism, misandry, and collectivism. Encouraging women to risk thier lives equally to protect non-women does not fit in with that.
