Hi,

Can we use IR with active playing?Not for recording or mixing

@aysat No you can only use the impulse inside your recording software. You don't have to record, you could just arm a track for recording and monitor the signal.

@thevisi0naryy Yeah I usually do 4 guitar tracks. 2 hard panned at 100% L&R and another 2 around 80% L&R. For effects, aside from EQ I'll sometimes use PSP Mixsaturator. I have a video on my channel showing how I use that.

@fearcomplexmusic okay that makes sense, do you do multiple guitar layers? Do you using any typing of mixing effects on guitars or just standard mixing?

@thevisi0naryy Use lots of room mics, with them muted the track is dry and flat sounding. The room mics are very important for 'vibe' and creating that sense of movement, making the track breathe.

Then there's the bass, rather than going for note clarity I eq'd most of the mids out so it's mostly just low end humming throughout the track, like a continuous drone.This again gives s a smooth movement feel.

If you get the bass and drums down dealing with guitars becomes a lot easier.

@fearcomplexmusic I figured out why. But for some reason they were in a temp folder and didn't show it whatsoever. After I found that out was able to just save them out on my external and all that!
