Dimarzio Evolution High Gain

This video was meant to be as long and as unserious as it can be.Just goofing around.I like to play really long solos. djrfr420 and I jamming on a riff.. Mostly all improvised. I use a Standard USA made strat with a few mods, A Dimarzio Steve's Special in the Bridge and an Evolution in the neck. Also some difffernt knobs. He uses an ESP Eclipse flame top with an EMG 81/60 combo. AMPLIFIERS:Marshall DSL100 and Peavey 6506+. CABINETS: 1960A Loaded with G12-75's and MESA oversized rectifer loaded with Vintage 30's. Effects: MXR Custom Audio Electronics Boost/Overdrive Pedal , ISP Decimator, and Fulltone OCD Overdrive.

Dave pretty much shredded over a pentatonic scale the way Zakk Wylde does, but he has used a few other more "exotic" scales like in Wake Up Dead and Lucretia. Kirk is the exact same way, but instead he overuses both the pentatonic and the natural minor scale. As far as wah use goes, he didn't use it near as much as people say, but wahs are fun to play with. Either way, Marty Friedman owns them both, so the discussion can end here, lol =P

@ReaperOfMen Yeah I believe 'ol mustaine is a bit more than pentatonic and exotic. None of those guys play the same exact style either. Zakk's solo's used to be more melodic. You cant even begin to compare him to Kirk. Its like comparing SRV to BB King. Blues but different. And thats were all petatonic's come from. Its all on the same 21 or more frets. Respect.

it is very well balanced. lots of sustain its hard to judge how a pickup will sound in your guitar.

kirk hammett is a shitty guitarist he wahs the shit out of everything and most of the time he's playing random notes that dont blend. mustaine can actually hold a solo for a long period of time and it will sing with the other solos in the song

@evan181 not to mention how narrow his playing is.. which is a majority of pentatonic scales. don't get me wrong, kirk is a good guitarist but just not versatile.
