CADS broadcasts on the 11m Band received in the UK from Ireland (HD)

Example of how CADS (religious broadcasts) can travel hundreds or thousands of miles on CB/11m bands during enhanced propagation, mostly in the summer months via Sporadic E. This recording is one that I took over the summer to illustrate how these so called "CADS" systems can disrupt CB communications with the UK FM band. Many of the CADS systems are running very high power levels and operating without a licence. The one in this video is being broadcast from Ireland. Notice how the signal is hitting 40db+ on the peaks and that's without the radio pre-amplifer stage selected.

There's a CADs station round here that regularly broadcasts muslim religious transmissions on channel 1 EU band. They use large ammounts of power going by how far the transmission travels and when they aren't broadcasting they leave their equipment switchen on transmitting blocking up the channel.

@Tinmanuk Hi Dave, I can actually here that CADS station over here in East Yorkshire sometimes when I go up to the hill tops. I think it's been going on for a few years. All we need to do is look for a mosque with a Sirio 827 at the top! :)

Judging by the accent it may well be an FM broadcast from some catholic church in Ireland on the legend 27/81, used to accommodate disabled folk who are unable to get to their local church.
