A short clip of Sarah Jarosz with Sam Grisman (bass) and Alex Hargreaves (violin) from Sarah's wonderful set at Wintergrass. Truly skilled young artists on their way to great things.

  • Just wondering how to pronounce Sarah's last name?

  • I believe it's "Juh-Rose"...(silent e)

  • SG, I shot a bit more, hope to have it up soon. Wanted to shoot the whole set, but battery/memory was running low, dang it. I did see someone who shot from the back of the hall with a Canon Prosumer, they may have the entire set. Wonder who it is?

  • Cool, I'll look forward to seeing it, do you know which tunes you caught?

  • I remember I got the slinky bass solo in "Grandma's Hands" and am not sure what else, maybe a couple of other snippits. I think the song with Aoife, too.

  • This is an awesome song, and her album is great. "Come down off the cross, we could use the wood".. What a line. This is a Tom Waits song btw.

  • 11|15|09 I just read an article in the Boston Globe about Sarah coming to the NEC [New England Conservatory] of music in Boston to study theory and solfege [voice] among other things music ! Instead of signing a record deal NOW , She's gonna learn/study!! You've got to admire that! Welcome to Boston Sarah! I"ll bet you will like it here and good luck!!!! STONY

  • Sarah is awesome - waiting to hear more of her great works.

  • I learned about her from the NPR interview. wow

  • Yup, Heard the NPR interview and searched for awhile before I found the correct spelling of her last name. She's an up and comer to be sure.

  • love this girl..kinda has a toni price sound..

  • She's dangerous! Heard her interview on NRP as I drove from the Bay Area toward Sacramento. So I'm doing the left hand on the wheel while I scribble the essentials on a piece of paper on the passenger's seat. VERY impressive!

  • More of what we need-Very fresh...Please keep it up...Good Luck...TY.
