@NeoZenSociety Julianne Moore in her prime would have been a great Dana Scully. Poppy Montgomery is another good chioce, but Vera Farmiga is better suited for the role in my opinion. It was her role in the tv series Touching Evil (US version) in 2004 that convinced me that she can pull it off, plus she's a great actress. If you haven't seen Touching Evil, you tube have all the episodes if you want to check it out.

@brunoman17 2/2 vera farmiga bcuz the name look familiar but i wasnt sure who she was. an interview for source code popped up (whatever that is) i remember her from a holocaust movie & i also think she was n a scary moie called (the)orphan/orphanage (something like that)! based on the interview i can see what u mean but i could also see julienne moore, possibly poppy montgomery (w/american accent),if usa can handle a blk scully then paula patton or marianne jean-baptiste(also w/american accent!

@brunoman17 1/2 idk any of that names u named but i agree that if they come out w/ a new xfiles they would have to revamp & get very creative bcuz they would b up against several "supernatural-type" shows! oh i was n bed sick over the weekend & the name gillian anderson popped into my head suddenly! i couldnt figure it out b4 but now i got it!:) i couldve just looked it up but it was on the tip of my tongue so i didnt want to;i knew it would come to me...eventually! also,i looked up the name...

@NeoZenSociety The X-Files franchise needs a creative intervention, somebody like Duncan Jones of Source Code to direct and Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse of Lost or Ehren Kruger of The Ring to write. I also like to see Vera Farmiga of Up In The Air to portray Dana Scully.

@brunoman17 oh ok i understand now...i never knew he left the show! the only xfiles i know is w/ him & the woman (cant think of her name;its on the tip of my tongue,i know it begins w/ "g") i can see y u say it lost credibility if they continued xfiles w/o david as for the writing i wouldnt know anything about that since i didnt even know there was a such thing as xfiles w/o david.now knowing i understand & agree,it would b great to get a fresh, good actor! but they would also need good writers!

@NeoZenSociety The X-Files was a great show once, it was fresh and innovative with iconic characters that will be remembered forever. But ever since the show moved from Vancouver to Los Angeles and David Duchovny leaving the show, everything changed and not for the better. The actors started to look bored in their roles and were only there for the paycheck. The writers were stuck in a rut because the unimaginative quality of episodes during the last four years of the show and became boring.

@brunoman17 i really dont understand what u mean...i never knew they lost credibility! i just watched about 8 episodes & got bored so i started watching law & order...obviously im not a serious fan of xfiles i just watch when theres nothing else to watch! but i dont understand how they lost credibility!?!
If he ever got a nose job I would lose total respect for him.
