At the end of the movie Why We Fight, Karen Kwiatkowski said; "Why we fight? I think we fight 'cause too many people are not standing up, saying 'I'm not doing this any more." Lt. Watada did just that, and is a true hero for upholding the Constitution, which is near extinction.

I deserted from the army a few years ago, turned myself in and got out. Not on any moral grounds, It just sucked ass. My unit, anyway. But maybe if we were fighting under our constitution, protecting our countrymen instead of shooting plebians wearing towels on their head I would've stayed in on moral principles. That LT is a good guy, unfortunately not many like him. Go ahead, call me a coward, I'll pick up a rifle anyday to combat our fucked up government or defend YOU or your FAMILY.

There is such a thing as cultures and individual people who value cooperation and diplomacy.
