"6. Discussion
The T° required for the observed spherule-formation and evaporation of materials observed in the WTC dust are significantly higher than temperatures reachable by the burning of jet fuel and office materials in the WTC buildings. The T° required to melt Fe (1,538 °C) & Mb
(2,623 °C), & vaporize Pb (1,740 °C) & aluminosilicates (~2,760°C), are completely out of reach of the fires in the WTC buildings (maximum 1,100 °C). We wish to call attention to this discrepancy: the official view implicating fires as the main cause for the ultimate collapses of the WTC Towers and WTC 7 (FEMA, NIST) is inadequate to explain this T° gap and is therefore incomplete at best. The
formation of numerous metal-rich spherules is also remarkable, for it implies formation of high-temperature
droplets of the molten metals, dispersed in the air where they cool to form spherules. As displayed, we observe spherules with high Fe and Al contents, a chemical signature which is not consistent with formation from melted steel.

The data provide strong evidence that chemical reactions which were both violent and highly-exothermic
contributed to the destruction of the WTC buildings. NIST neglected the high-temperature and fragmentation
evidence presented here: it appears nowhere in their final report. Proposed new building codes based on the WTC disaster must address all available evidence for what caused the complete and rapid destruction of these skyscrapers. Understanding the mechanisms that led to the destruction of the World Trade Center will enable scientists and engineers to provide a safer environment for people using similar buildings and benefit firefighters who risk their lives trying to save others. Thus, a thorough investigation which considers these data, showing extremely high temperatures and severe fragmentation in the formation of small metal-rich spheres during the WTC Towers destruction, is highly motivated. In particular, the repeatedly-delayed report on the destruction of WTC 7 on 9/11/2001 should address these striking facts.

Even in a testing furnace when the air temperature is raised quickly and held at 1,000 °C, and heat is not conducted away by a large building structure, it takes approximately two hours for protected steel to reach 600

GREENWALD: ... One of the oddest shapes is called the compression. It's so valuable that it's been locked inside a tent within the hangar. It looks like a meteorite and nobody knows which tower it came from says Charles Gargano, vice chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which owns the hangar and the Trade Center Site. Gargano says the compression is actually 4 stories that have been crushed into a jagged object four feet high.

GARGANO: This is metal that has been compressed again as the result of the collapse of these extremely tall buildings. And that is made up, composition of different materials steel, concrete and other materials and you can see how that was compressed.

Amazingly, it's possible to make out individual objects. There are bathroom tiles, a pipe, and blackened pieces of paper carbonized by the heat. It smells like charcoal. Peter Gatt, who's one of the preservationists here, points to the spine of what looks like a corporate report.

what if you thought logically and came to realize that the steel didn't melt because of explosives, but by the sheer weight of the building collapsing and compressing and producing phenominal amounts of friction?? i don't mean to insult you but it just gets easier and easier to debunk these theories

@Markmosso As easy as you posting any other collapse melting the iron and pulverizing all the concrete. Somebody wrote that the first responders are living witnesses in their lungs of some of the materials used to bring down those towers. It is important to realize that NASA provided faked images.

They showed 911 with no clouds up and down the eastern seaboard.

They showed the smoke plume going to different directions.

Not much you can trust.

Look at the way everything is being thrust outward when the building falls. Most of the debris is going over the side, so how did the whole building fall apart all the way to the ground? I could see if it tipped over or something but this doesn't make sense. There had to be cuts in the main beams all the way down for the building to fall like that. And it's kind of odd that all three buildings fell the same way. I just don't buy it.

Actually, NASA's AVIRIS infrared scans of the WTC Plaza done on Sept 16, and Sept 21,

prove NOWHERE on the WTC plaza exceeded more than 850 C extrapolated back to

Sept 12, the day after the attacks.

How stupid is your statement! So by this logic every large steel framed building is resting on steel melted by the weight of the building pressing down on its foundations!!!! Get current. Thermate and thermite are not " super secret" - they are common industrial tools. US Army and private companies have plenty of experience using these high temp cutting tools. Why is there so much deliberate ignorance on the part of some of you ? but if we studie WTC7 first then we are obviously confronted to a Very improbable phenomenon. A free fall of the building for 2.4 sec with no planes and an office fire that never stay more than 30 minutes on the same place. An engineer that read the NIST report will be stunned
