@jakacspear, I've been messing around with the br-1600 for a few months so Im still new to recording. What I've done is: 1- record dry with no effect on multi-track mode . 2- Once track is recorded, I add effects to it.. 3-Then bounce to a different track or a v-track (if Im out of tracks) Then go to "track move" if I want to re-assign to the playback track.( Hope this makes sense). The DVD from these guys helped me quite a bit.

does any one else find this thing hard to use? granted I have next to no experience with recording equipment, but I was told this was easy to use ! not so far!

In need of a bit of help. Does anyone know, if its possible, how to individually choose an effect on each track while using the Multi-track mode? Im using 3 mics to record 3 different string instruments at the same time, but when I choose multitrack for live recording, I can only choose from the Multi-track effects which are terrible. I want to be able to assign each mic to its own vocal effect. Any help would be awwwesome. thanks.

i was about to get this,id used it with a friend who had it,but i decided to build a computer and go that route eventhough im a complete idiot with computers,my advice: go with computer recording;its very easy after you watch all the youtube videos on it,i went with the focusrite saffire pro 24dsp and cubase 5,sound quality, editing options: soooooooo worth it,it cost me less than this too!
