波士顿各界华人抗震救灾义演

2008年5月12日14时28分，四川省阿坝自治州汶川县发生里氏8.0级强烈地震 。顷刻间山崩地裂、房屋倒塌。这是自上个世纪七十年代唐山大地震发生一来，中国人民所 遇到的又一次损失惨重的地震灾难。

本应是蓝天白云、山清水秀、鲜花怒放、笑容灿烂的五月，瞬间变成了蜀水鸣咽、巴山破碎 、满目疮痍、愁容密布。多少父母失去了他们唯一的孩子，多少儿童变成了孤儿，多少家庭 妻离子散，又有多少人仍然在和死亡进行着殊死的搏斗。

灾区人民在企盼着重建家园，灾区的孩子们在等待着新的学校。作为生活在海外的中华儿女，我们有责任和义务为我们的亲人伸出救援之手，献出赤诚之心。灾难是无情的，但是全世­界的炎黄子孙是心心相通的，全世界的人民是友爱的。让我们以这里为起点，从今天开始，携起手来，尽最大的努力帮助灾区人民走出困境，用我们持续不懈的捐助帮助他们重现幸福 生活。

On May 12, 2008, a major earthquake measured 8 Richter scale devastated Sichuan , China . As of May 24, more than 60,560 people lost their lives, and tens of thousands are still missing. Almost five million people have been left homeless. This earthquake has drawn broad attention from all over the world. The Chinese community in the Greater Boston area hosted the concert "Love Dedication". Let us reach out our hands and give our love and help to those who lost their loved one and homes in this disaster.
