The sword-fighting skeleton at 1:12 is from THE 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD (1958).

The clips around 3:34 are from SINBAD AND THE EYE OF THE TIGER, my personal favorite!

the Seventh voyage of Sindbad was the first "horror" movie I ever saw. I was 10 and the Cyclops scared the bejeesus out of me. To the point I had to leave the theater and go home. It was the 2nd feature of the matinee, The first having been "Pillow Talk" Quite a combination! But Ray did his job so well in making that monster believable to a 10 yr old that I have never watched the entire movie and I'm 65 now!

Modern FX would not be where they were today without Ray Harryhausen.

Consider the planning, coordination and patience it took to move those multi-armed, multi-headed creatures over and over again, one single frame of film (1/24th of a second) at a time. And he worked on these films virtually solo, with few if any assistants. You have been looking at the work of a master craftsman here. Honor his legacy.

    Ray, was the greatest.

(and his work also probably help sell a lot of bed-wetting remedies to the parents of little boomer boys!)
