@DerailAmnestydotcom If it was a state bordering Canada I would agree with you, but it borders Mexico and thinking it wasn't intended to deport Mexicans is just naive.

They are not scared of latinos and arabs...they are scared of terrorists who are in almost all cases arabs and the Mexican drug war which is entering the United States. The fact that you are comparing the latino situation with jews during the holocaust is insulting. My grandmother immigrated here to escape the holocaust. Latinos are not being killed, raped, hung, etc. under this law. Legal immigration is great! Specifically what is draconian about it? The fact it enforces law?

jeez, I'm getting so pissed off at the people who think that law enforcement can just "pull someone over" for being Mexican! They have to commit a crime first! Have you even read the law? All you need if you are asked is a drive's license, which you should have if you are driving anyway!!!

@phensel13 The original law which DID say that anyone that looked illegal could be pulled over was changed to be able to check anyone pulled over for another reason such as running a stop light. Only problem is that this was already a law in effect for years in AZ. So the only reason to keep the ammended new law is for political reasons. The govoner who was in political trouble before this law now gets to "pal around" with Sarah Palin and FOX news. THAT'S the ONLY reason this law still exists!!!
