Slayer - World Painted Blood ALBUM REVIEW

SLAAAAAAAAAAAAYERRRRRR!!

Yes the new Slayer album, World Painted Blood is here! I'll be honest, I wasn't overly pumped for this record because in my opinion, Christ Illusion was pretty "Blah". But to be honest, this record is a breath of fresh air. For alot of you who though Slayer should hang it up will be in for a surprise. Slayer reached in their bag of goodies and brought back THE TRASH! Great riffs, great drumming, great vocals, you know, standard Slayer stuff! Solos are tiresome and uninspired, some use of Wah pedal is nice. There are some newer elements added which I enjoyed. Some tracks kinda felt filler but overall it is a really good record. Definitely their best since Divine Intervention. Slayer fans, I'm sure you've already got it!

rofl at all the butthurt 'thrashers'. get your heads out of your asses, everyone is allowed to have opinions. personally i think slayer is mediocre at best, seasons in the abyss was probably their best album. everything else is pretty unispiring apart from some good songs here and there. there are an abundance of thrash bands 10x better than slayer, but they were one of the pioneers so i have to give them credit and respect for that.

CHRIST ILLUSION WAS AMAZING. You just have to listen to it a few times. I didn't care for Diabolus, or Undisputed Attitude. I liked a few off of Divine, and God Hates Us All. And Jeff Hanneman writes WWAAYY more lyrics than Kerry King. Jeff most of the hits. Angel Of Death, Raining Blood, South Of Heaven, War Ensemble, Mandatory Suicide, and Seasons In The Abyss. I have a feeling their next album will be better. But World Painted Blood was excellent!
