In the first part of the talk, we will look at some basic concepts and definitions, the five domains of CAM, the integral medicine model, the role of conventional medicine, the importance of evidence based medicine, contributions of CAM, principles of holistic medicine and some CAM resources for practitioners.

The second part of the talk will look at what doctors find meaningful in their work, finding meaning in medicine, mindful medical practice and a couple of techniques for grounding ourselves in the practice of medicine.
