Brattleboro Vermont police, who have a history of using brutal (sometimes deadly) force against political protestors who pose no direct threat to them, have done it once again. They need to be held legally accountable for their reckless and unprofessional conduct. Citizens of Vermont: you must demand that your police begin serving and helping the people of Vermont, rather than torturing and murdering them.

  • Oh god 3 vs 1 i dont blame them for Tasing him. If they had to spend any more time arresting a peaceful protester who planted a garden it might cut into donut hour!

  • And the sign said 'long haired freaky people need not apply' :-)

  • @gotgank Well at least we agree on one thing. Religions are corrupt and don't follow the spiritual teachings of their supposed Founders. But there IS such a thing as peaceful resistance, a good example would be Gandhi.

Only the rich can afford to sue which is why most crimes by police happen to the poor. Another point to consider is the inability to sue when you are dead. There are numerous cases of the poor and natives dying in police custody. I'm a survivor of attempted murder by police.

  • @ancientclown Depends on the State, but fail to comply and resisting arrest can mean different things. Somewhere in the Bible, it says, "Obey mans law as if it were Gods". Now, I personally think the Bible is a load of propaganda to control the masses, but u brought up God first. A resisting suspect is not "peaceful". If the arrest is unlawful, then sue. Dont try to fight at the scene. Have u ever really looked at the nationally accepted use of force guidelines? U should. U may be surprised.

  • @gotgank Actually, the very FACT that failure to comply and resisting arrest are 2 separate and different charges means they are NOT the same thing...by the letter of the LAW. Using unnecessary force and WEAPONS on unarmed, peaceful people is just plain cowardice.

GOD gave 10 LAWS that apply to everyone equally. Governments make RULES mostly applied only to the poor or those they feel are Undesirable.

The corrupt shall NEVER have authority over me...just following orders doesn't cut it with me.

  • look how nice the cops are. they should have dragged him by the feet and raked his head on the ground

  • Vermont police are corrupt and think they are above the law. Why did this guy get tased? Was he being violent with the officers?

  • There goes a dirty VT hippie, homeland please don't let state of Vermont become Unamerican or break from the states. If you ever do America will send tanks to take back the state. Vt or michigan people are same like the wolverines. Libs if you ever come to Ohio go to lib trash cities like cleveland or akron or Kent. Columbus is Pro American city and proud of it. Easton Mall will ban you if you enter for dress code violation. So rest of Columbus, you lib

  • @ancientclown Not complying with a Lawful Arrest equals resisting Arrest. If its "Lawful" or not is up to the Jury.

Are u Native American? Native Americans have been legally using marijuana in religious ceremonies for ages. Oh, and that California Church of the Sacred Bud, or whatever? Wow, I laughed hard at that. Using religion to usurp Laws? Nice try.

You think they have no authority over u? Well, partner, u are in for a rude awakening.
