What a Jet Powered RC model turbine looks like starting up at dusk. You can hear the ignition, and better you can see it. All build and install was done in Houston Texas. This thing is set to push 300MPH, the computerized turbine control system has the RPM turned down at full throttle to limit the speed to about 250MPH. Turbine is a jet cat. For any additional information please message me.....
Is the slow spool up time because of the kero start or is all that controlled in the ecu?

@StrangeDecemberDay We found out after this video that the UAT manufactured by BVM had a leak in one of the 3 fittings and there was a micro stream of air going through it and it didnt flame out but throttle response and linearity of transition was as you stated retarded quite a bit. We switched out to a brand new UAT and it fixed the issue right away. Also to note this was a brand new P160.

I just love the kero-start turbines!
It has brought the realism to a whole new level. Makes my old propane-start Simjet 3000 seem very out of date...

@addemoto Yeah man this thing is stand at a distance and start. Full start no propane all on one type of fuel and one source. Its really bad ass. Unfortunatley I call it a Ultra Lighting rather than its real name, "Lighting"
