A hilarious clip depicting what designers sometime around the 1930's thought fashion in 2000 would look like. Watch for the headlight hair accessory.

LOL Yeah, it's funny now but the designer who predicted pants becoming most popular for women and "cantilevered heels"--that wasn't so far off, and the look would become very popular in the 70s and 80s.

For men, the portable telephone/radio (hello iPhone!), and relaxation about hair length and facial hair are entirely correct.

Hearing the words "Candies for cuties" makes me think Chris Hansen is going to come out and ask the guy to take a seat over there.

Just like this video "AT&T 1993-1994 'You Will' Ad Campaign Compilation - All 7 Ads" It correctly predicts pretty much all we have today, but even if it's just 20 years ago the video still looks SOOOOO 90s.... Every prediction is based on what we feel/know/live now, it's impossible to know what people will feel like in 20, 30 years.

The problem with these predictions is that they always come from the style that was popular at the time of prediction. Therefore when they talked about future computers, cars, environment in the 80s, all that looked FUTURE, BUT IN 80s... Similarly now if we make a video of what the world will look like in 2040, sure it will look futuristic but only from the 2010s perspective and colours. Like those white and glossy videos from Microsoft... I bet this won't be how the future will look like
