Every year its the same old thing if your birthday is near Christmas (or New Years!) Everyone is too busy dealing with Christmas to pay much attention to your birthday. All the parties are for Christmas, and you birthday just gets to tag along for the ride.

Heh, I feel you. Mine is 1/8, 2 weeks to the day after Christmas and 1 week to the day after New Year's - i.e., everyone's all partied out by the time my b-day rolls around. And yeah, it gets forgotten, it snows and no one can come over, or I get the infamous "combo gifts." And I always have really nice winter clothes but very few cool summer clothes.

My birthday's on Easter every few years (including this coming Easter). Not really as bad, but still, no family ever really comes to wish you a happy birthday. You just get really late birthday cards in the mail with twenty bucks tucked inside the envelope.
