Nice interview. I've known Garbage from the start, so i've known the stories a long time (Shirley not knowing Butch, her first audition, their first show etc.) but it is always fun to get nostalgic. Thanks again, Andrea.

Yeh it was me, I recorded it when it was broadcast - the show is Glasgow barrowlands 28 Aug 1998, the first time I saw Garbage live!!!! :)

oh its doesnt bother me as long as I get credit :P hahaha it was the first time I ever heard Duke or Steve's voice they were quiet in all the interviews I'd seen before then

Garbage changed so much during V2.0 era. Before they weren't great speakers, specially at concerts, and they kept a darker and more mysterious image while during V2.0 Shirley started talking more and got much funnier and down to earth. I can see why it was so exceptional when she talked about sex in some famous 96 interview (that I'm still looking for!). Maybe you saw it?
