As cool as these ASL's are, this would never work in the UK we simply havn't got wide enough roads. We tend to stick with rear loaders (like the one I work on in my pic). But there is some rumour of some of the local authorities that have decent areas of wide roadeage considering these ASL's...

Waste Management did me wrong back in the 80's. they fired me just because I douldn't pass the DOT cause of my bad eye. Even though I couldn't drive anymore there was still rear loaders I could've worked on. Well anyways they did me a faver when they fired me cause I have a much better job and make 3 times the money I did then.

Toronto just started this system last october. I've seen garbage day in Montreal and holy shit, how do you guys put up with this mess? bags, cans, everything all over the place. Crazy!!!

i think side loaders should be illeagle cause do you see any of the garbage man get out of the truck? there could be a body in thereand if it goes in the truck the pices all get scwooshed and the cops would have a hard time lol

Actually there is a Hopper Camera that the driver uses to see into the hopper when dumping trash. If something like what you are talking about happened the driver would know.
