Benny Goodman's "A Smo-o-oth One" sounds very smooth indeed when played by this group of seasoned musicians at the 2007 Sacramento Jazz Jubilee (held every Memorial Day Weekend). Vince Bartels' Migrant Jazz Workers is featured here with Allan Vache on clarinet, John Cocuzzi on vibes, Eddie Higgins on piano, Jennifer Leitham on bass, and Vince Bartels on drums. Note the use of altissimo range that Vache was taught to play by his mentor, Kenny Davern.
