Juan Manuel Santos, the former defence minister, has easily won Colombia's run-off presidential election against rival Antanas Mockus.

Santos won 69 per cent of the vote against 27 per cent for Mockus, a former two-time Bogota mayor.

Santos received more than nine million votes - a record for a Colombian president - and will take office in August.

Al Jazeera's Teresa Bo was able to meet with members of the left-wing Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc) fighters, who say regardless of who won they will continue their fight against the government.
