Spashley vs. Society - Because of You

This video is Spencer and Ashley vs. their families, friends, peers and others who did not support Spashley's relationship for whatever reasons. At times both Spencer and Ashley faced and felt: fear, disappointment, alienation/isolation, various insecurities, denial, belittlement, derogatory remarks, heartbreak, etc., all because of who they were in love with. Both Spencer and Ashley took a lot of abuse from some very closed-minded, insecure, ignorant, unhealthy individuals.


If you're familiar with the show or song (or both), then I hope the connection of each scene + sound byte to each specific lyric is easily understood. This is the edited version of this video. The unedited version can be viewed at www.myspace.com/muffs_diving_school. The only difference between the two videos is the introduction. Youtube rejected the other version due to the audio soundbite (not the video) in the beginning. I felt that the other intro. was very specific and important to introduce the concept of the video, hence me posting it on a different website that won't block it in order for it to be viewed in its entirety.

it's so incredible, amazing and beautiful at the same time. I really love it. Closed-minded people should watch this video to change their minds. I think the most important thing in life is to find a person who you can be in love with, find happiness in that way, and it really doesn't matter that who is that person, if you don't hurt other people. And i think it's the main message of this video, what everyone should understand and accept.

People can be so harsh to each other. I'm glad my friends and parents were so accepting. I probably would have gone crazy if my parents and friends were so harsh.

Open up people, and see the world of today. Nothing is black and white anymore. Love is love and there is nothing you can do about it!

Wow, this is... incredible. I know the hate feeling, luckily most of my fam and friends are cool with me being gay and out... but there are always those people who arent. And plus, being the only gay person in your entire family.... not the most comfortable feeling. But love conquers at least in this story.

no..well this was a while back..so now its another girl..i know for sure that im bi now. and i fell in love with another girl that just drives me crazy!!!but she used to be bi..&& now she supposely isnt she said that she hasnt messed around with any girls so she thinks shes straight..ughh!! i have really bad luck with girls..oh and she knows that im bi & that i like her!!
