Guiding Light - August 1982 - Silas Kidnaps Nola
Silas calls Quint and tells him where to deliver the Golden Cradle. Quint insists on having proof that Nola is all right. Silas plays a tape of Nola saying shes okay but telling him to do what Silas asks. Tony and Quint devise a plan for Quint to deliver the cradle and for Tony to hide at the cemetery where they can wait and watch for Jamie Loomis then follow him to where Silas is holding Nola. Mrs. Renfield joins Tony and Quint in the library and informs them that Helena just left the house and that Fritz had found her listening on another phone extension when Quint was speaking with Silas. Mrs. Renfield thinks Helena is working with Silas but Quint thinks she wants the golden cradle for herself and shes going to try to beat Jamie Loomis to the pick up spot so she can have it for herself.
Nola is tied to a chair and Silas threatens that if Quint doesnt produce the cradle within 48 hours, its all over for her. Nola cringes as rats scurry across the floor and Silas says that no one will ever find her because the rats wont leave enough of her for anyone to find.
Tony waits in his car at his hiding place in the cemetery. He remembers discussing Quint and Nolas relationship with Nola, when he reassured her and offered to listen if she ever wanted to talk.
Quint delivers the Golden Cradle to the gravesite.

i still am going to keep vigilante about a thought that a friend of mine suggested.I know it never happened in this story or the previous one,but what if,just supposedly, what if Silas Crocker had raped Nola when he had her held captive when he kidnapped her away from Quinton. What do you think possibly Quinton would have done to Silas Crocker? Do you think he would have seeked revenge? What do you think he would have done if Nola had told him that Silas Crocker had done that to her?! I wonder?!

Midnight in a cemetery...Somehow I'm not surprised that's where Silas wants to meet. Helena is obviously nothing but trouble. I loved Tony's flashback to his talk with Nola.
