Jaydlyn: Wow. That's really how you feel?
Joe: In very little words.
Jaydlyn: Wow.
Joe: Basically, I just wanted to know...
Jaydlyn: Oh my gosh.
Joe: ...if you would be my girlfriend.
Jaydlyn: Are you serious?
Joe: *chuckles* Yeah, I'm very serious.
Jaydlyn: Oh my gosh, yes!
Joe: God, thank goodness you said yes, because that would have been a really awkward ride back home.
Jaydlyn: Was that what you wanted to ask me earlier?
Joe: No, just let me ask...you know? Maybe I'll ask now.
Jaydlyn: Yes! I knew you'd give in.
Joe: Nevermind.
Jaydlyn: Joe, please? Please? *makes a puppy dog face*
Joe: Okay, okay, fine. I'll ask. Well, no. I won't.
Jaydlyn: Joe!
Joe: Nope. I changed my mind. Seriously this time.
Jayldyn: Are you serious? Ugh.
Joe: Sorry. Trust me, once I ask, you won't even remember.
Jaydlyn: Oh my goodness, Joe.
Joe: Anyways, forget the question. Let's just sit and watch the sun set. And I'll play music for you.
*Jaydlyn spreads out the blanket and the couple sit next to each other in front of the sunset. Joe starts playing*
Joe: Now I'm speechless, over the edge, I'm just breathless, I never thought that I'd catch this lovebug again.
Hopeless, head over heels, in the moment, I'd never thought that I'd get hit by this lovebug again...
*After an hour passed by, Joe looked down at Jaydlyn with her eyes closed on his shoulder.*
Joe: Hey sleepyhead.
Jaydlyn: *opens eyes* I'm not sleep. Promise.
Joe: Okay.
Jaydlyn: *sat up and faced him* Joe?
Joe: What?
Jaydlyn: I've had the best two dates ever with you. And I do enjoy your amazing eyes, your unusual but hilarious sense of humor, and your all-around personality. I always get butterflies in my stomach when you smile at me, and basically, you make me so happy.
Joe: Really?
Jaydlyn: Yeah. Joe, I think I love you.
Joe: I was just thinking the same thing.
Jaydlyn: That I love you?
Joe: No. That I love you.
*He leans in to kiss her, and the couple's kiss lasts through the sunset.*
Joe: You're a good kisser.
Jaydlyn: No, you're the better one.
Joe: I guess I need to tell you something now rather than later.
Jaydlyn: What?
Joe: Well, immediately after the competition, my brothers and I have to go back on tour.
Jaydlyn: Joe...
Joe: I know it's difficult to take in, but I have a responsibility. And even though I would never want to leave your side, I have to, because this is what I do.
Jaydlyn: Joe, I don't care. I understand your schedule. You can't be with here with me all the time. I know.
Joe: *hugs her* Boy, that's a relief. I mean, I can call, and we can chat and do Skype and everything, but I'll miss you.
Jaydlyn: I'll miss you, too. Now come on, we gotta go.
*They got into the car and had a rather silent ride home. Until Jaydlyn spoke up.*
Jaydlyn: Wait, I gotta drive you home. Or to your hotel.
Joe: Oh yeah. It's called the Founder's Inn and Spa.
Jaydlyn: Someone's livin' the life. That's a really nice hotel.
Joe: Well, we kinda thought that maybe we should make the most out of the time that we spend off tour. You know, maybe you can come and visit us and we can just go out. For the day, just me and you.
Jaydlyn: Maybe.
Joe: Oh my gosh!
Jaydlyn: What?! What's wrong?
Joe: Jay, I just came up with the greatest idea!
Jaydlyn: Joe, please don't do that while I'm driving. You scared me so bad.
Joe: Sorry, but listen. We were just talking about how you and I would be separated, right?
Jaydlyn: Yeah.
Joe: Why don't you come on tour with me?
Jaydlyn: Oh God, Joe. Are you serious?
Joe: I'm very serious. Not only will you be with me, you'll have the best time of your life.
Jaydlyn: Joe, I don't know.
Joe: At least think about it.
Jaydlyn: I mean, I want to, but school-
Joe: Homeschooling.
Jayldyn: The band?
Joe: We can think about that later. Just consider it, please?
Jayldyn: I'll think about it. I really wanna go. *thought about money* No, never mind.
Joe: What?
Jaydlyn: I don't wanna really go. It was just a quick high.
Joe: I will still give you time to think about it.
*Jaydlyn remained silent.*
Joe: *looks out the window* Wait, this is it right here.
Jaydlyn: Okay.
Joe: Well, I'll call you.
Jaydlyn: Okay, I'll see you later. *looks around* Actually, my house isn't too far from here. Maybe walking distance.
Joe: I know. *gives her a kiss on the cheek* I'll see you later.
Jaydlyn: Bye. *she backs out of the parking lot and heads home.*
