This is a video of a front wheel drive, rear wheel steer, recumbent trike we designed and build here at http://www.MJMMobile.com. It's called the MJM Powerslide V3 because it does awesome powerslides on wet or sand surfaces. It's very low, and it's footprint fairly wide allowing the rider to make radical turns without the fear of flipping over. Or you can just ride it mellow like Fred's doing in the video. : )

  • Once again how long could you make this bike so that it could be used as a camper. Add solar cells and and a power hub front and you may have something.

  • @josephdupont I've been looking for a "camper bike" on google to get an idea of what you're referring to, but have had no luck. Can you provide an example of this?

  • its not really a powerslide if the wheels arent driven and its rear wheel steer...

its like saying a forklift truck is powersliding. they arent.

its like saying a front wheel drive is powersliding when you reef up the handbrake. they arent.

    a POWER slide requires POWER...

  • @headsmess You're comparing apples to oranges. The term “powerslide” is applied differently to cars, then say bikes, skateboards, or even guitarists.

P.S. - Are you saying a rear wheel drive car can't do a powerslide if it's going in reverse?

  • I'm interested in this bike and would like more info on availability. I've contacted your sales email and am waiting for a response.

  • @BarreraTV Sorry for the slow response. These trikes are all hand built one at a time here in the USA, then leased to bicycle rental shops in areas with heavy tourism. Unfortunately, it would not be profitable for us to offer the MJM Powerslide V3 for sale to the public. The V3's design caters to a small niche market that would not justify a large enough production run needed to bring the cost down to acceptable retail levels. If this condition should change, we will post it here on youtube.
