Ever wonder how long a hybrid car will last? Consumer Reports tests a Toyota Prius that's 10 years old and has more than 200,000 miles. Learn more about the Toyota Prius and other hybrid vehicles on our website: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/cars/new-cars/resource-center/alternative-...

  • @crammage - Beauty is the in the eye of the beholder. I think the Prius looks a lot more attractive than the Ford Fusion, especially the 2012 Prius and the Prius C. But to each their own, that is why we have choices available.

  • you got that off of top gear and the factory actulyy takes in carbon and lets out 100% oxegon and the factory has a bunch of solar panels and the paint they use at the factory is super enviormently freindy

  • "add to that...." that you are flipping off Texas & Saudi oil men and saving lives of American troops who fight and die for oil.

  • wait....are you just say lowering your carbon footprint? ok, maybe yours personally, but total carbon footprint increased dramatically! just to manufacture the battery you have to strip mine the nickel (lots of carbon), ship it somewhere to be processed, then somewhere else so it can be put into he battery and made. Then it needs to get to japan for assembly....thats ALOT of extra steps AND extra carbon...you would have to drive that prius for like 20 years to equal out the carbon to build it.

  • I love Prius, specially 2011 model

  • @JEEP5599 Tell me about it. I have a charger only getting 18mpg, but i swear feels like 'im getting 10mpg.

  • @JEEP5599 lol trade up for a patriot! that's what i want to do.

  • You are an idiot if you trust anything comming out of consumer reports trash.

  • I own the new one. the quality isnt quite as good, but still acceptable but athoer than that its an improvment. the tecnology is better as well as the style. the only other bad thing is the visibility. other wise its an excellent car delivering great fuel economy. in the end, the new one is slightly better but the old one was such a great car I would recommend it in a heartbeat 2, if your looking for good fuel economy (duh)

  • Why are people talking about Chevy Cruse? Thats not in the same segment. Wold you like me to compare a Prius to a Corolla or Camry? Thats just a silly comparison.
