  • hey sadie

when you do that left elbow to the right knee thing

    it hurts a bit

is it supposed to until i start doing it more often?

  • Keep your hips centered and don't twist your lower back too much. Pull your navel and lower back in and stabilize your lower spine area. If it hurts, back it off a bit.

A stretch is good--pain is not.

Keep working it--it will open up for you!

    Namaste,

    Sadie

  • back pain is sooo common so I'm really glad you did this set! The twists i find really help as well, especially for those of us who sit in the dreaded office chair 40 hours a week. Sadie, when you get time do you think you could do a set for jaw pain and tenseness, or those of us with TM joint problems? Face yoga!

  • I have a Yoga In Your Face video--it will help!

    Namaste,

    Sadie

  • If you've got back pain or any musclo-skeletal pain you'd be a mug not to start doing yoga. The Chinese have been doing it to great effect for a couple of thousand years, loosening tight muscleds and strengthening weak muscles - gradually getting their bodies back in alignment.

Treat back pain as a strength and flexibility problem, not a medical problem.

Get thee to a yoga studio. Do not pass the surgery. Do not spend $200 at the chemist or chiro.

    Regards and best wishes
