World's Largest Truck Stop in Walcott, Iowa

IF YOU BOUGHT IT, THEN A TRUCK BROUGHT IT! WITHOUT TRUCKS, AMERICA STOPS! Remember those phrases when you're driving around trucks. This is the world's largest truck stop. It's called the Iowa 80 in Walcott, IA on Interstate 80 at exit 284. In the main building, there's a full service sitdown restaraunt called the Iowa 80 Kitchen as well as a food court containing a Wendys, Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and a Orange Julius. Next there is a large convienience store and a fairly large gift shop. Then there is the 32,000 square foot Chrome Shop with a tractor trailer and two bobtails inside. Upstairs is largely for the Professional Truck Drivers. This contains 23 private showers, a Dentist, Barber Shop, Chiropractor, large theater, TV room, laundromatt, and several meeting rooms for the employees. in the lot are enough parking spaces for 800 trucks, two diesel islands pumping TA fuel, a Truck O Mat truck wash with two wash bays and a trailer washout bay as well as a Dog O Mat pet wash station close by. Then there's a ten bay garage staffed with TA mechanics, all of this is open 24 hours a day seven days a week. Last, but not least is the corperate offices for the Iowa 80 Group (owners of several other truck stops as well as theis one) ,CAT Scale Co, and the Truck O Mat truck wash Co. Next to that is the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum which wasn't open when I was there that day.

@madhatter0110 No this video was shot in 2009. Hard to believe the way prices have drastically shot up isn't it? It's not like these oil barrons have been loosing money all these years to justify the spike in fuel prices. I think they just want to get rich off our backs.

@woodencoasterfan you aint kidding ! I don't know if it's me but every TA stop I've been to is filled with diseased lot lizards even in broad daylight. It's disgusting seeing them pee and vomiting on the lot in plain view.
