I'm so sick of this relativistic approach. Truth is, there IS good and evil, there IS right and wrong. Go and read the facts: Circumcision is a form of genital mutilation, which is a crime if done on underage persons who can't consent. Thanks to brave people like Christopher Hichens for stopping with false respect for an ancient rite and calling circumcision what it is: a ruthless crime that needs to be stopped!

Err ok.So some circumcised men don't like bathing that much.I can understand that.And good for you that you like being circumcised.I have nothing against circumcision if it is performed on an adult that wants it.

You might cut off your ears because they get dirty too.And smegma can be washed off very easy.All you need is some soap and water.

The unfortunate fact is that male genital mutilation is *expressly exempted* from ritual abuse statutes. Female genital mutilation is, of course, prohibited. Illinois protects the practice. Idaho has such a protection. California has such a protection. In no State in this country (none, I mean that literally) is male circumcision prohibited by law when female circumcision is similarly prohibited. Is it not found in this country and it is shameful that the abuse is expressly permissible by law.

I've been circumsized and everything is ok with me... I'm glad i went through it because at least i don't have to experience things like smegma, or dirty things that come naturally with an un circumsized person. Also i was a little baby and i don't remember it...i'm in my 20's now and i think its fine, and i'm better off this way...i feel sorry for the other uncircumsized grumpy bitter people.

Actually atheism offers a much more compelling argument for good, evil, right wrong and morals. In religious teachings, good and evil are real tangible things, embodied by God and the Devil - when we know that it is a fact that they are concepts not persons or objects. This is what atheism describes - good and evil are what we as humans perceive them to be in a society - evolution dictated that we required morals to cooperate and survive, religion attempts to claim a monopoly on them.
