  • Not as great as Chisel, however this version has loads of charm and appeal. I like it very much.

  • When I first heard the Reels version during the late eighties, I thought I was listening to an original version of 'Forever Now' and concluded that Cold Chisel had simply covered an old 50's standard. Just proof that Cold Chisel had very good songs that could suit any standard.

  • Dave Mason's unique take on an Aussie classic, with Prestwich's approval. Laid back and very cool!

  • Sorry to be so crass. but if Amanda Brown looked at me like that, Id cum in my pants

  • @gunfiremessiah lol dave mason wouldnt cos his gay.

  • crap cover.doesn't do the song justice.they,ve got some good songs though.(the reels)

  • @damo3805 R.I.P. Steve

  • just goes to show a few things:

    1. Prestwich could write great songs.

    2. Jimmy would murder them.

    3. The Reels it better with more love and more fun.

  • RIP Steve easily the best CC song

  • Surely a piss take!

  • @W0rp3D you can't have read the wikipedia article very well then. Quasimodo's Dream? Shout and Deliver? After the News? Most of their early albums?

Later, covers became frequent, 'cause sometimes you gotta go where the money is. But their early songs couldn''t have been more original, and their sound was unique.

  • How cool, Im an old Dubbo South High girl and went to school with Pip...hands up \o/

  • A quote from wiki "Rock music historian, Ian McFarlane described them as "one of the most original and invigorating pop bands to emerge from the Australian new wave movement of the late 1970s"." but yet every one of there songs listed in wiki is a cover, how does that make them original, no wonder i never heard of em, 88 seems to have a lot of one hit wonders.
