@vekasmisi well ... fighting hurts ... so it is all about what hurts the less. Better to block with the shin than taking the shot at full speed on the thigh.

Whatever cracks the bone only makes it stronger in the long run.
-
Head movement left or right, step back, or swat them as they come in.
-
@czarImperia Some fighter scrub glass bottles or wooden sticks over their shin, hardens the bone (as far as know) and makes it more resistant for pain :)

@czarImperia I train my shins by kicking, not by blocking kicks. In Muay Thai I'm taught to let the kick hit the back flab of your leg, so like... if he throws an outside kick, turn my leg in so it hits the back of my leg and not the muscle. If you go shin to shin with a muay thai kick... you're gonna get really hurt. I've seen it happen. My buddy's been training for over a year in Muay Thai and he went shin to shin with someone on accident and it swelled like... immediately.

@edderz101 It's not a retarded question! And it's not BJJ... Brazilian Jiu Jitzu? That's ground game. I'm not sure what it is tho.

@vekasmisi also kick car tyre to lose the meat at the side of the shin
Dude... Shin blocking? Bad idea. I accidentally did that once with a LIGHT leg kick in Muay Thai and I still had a bruise almost 2 weeks later.... NOT smart lol.
