I remember playing against walsh in the Preston leagues 14 - 16 and again when he was at Wigan Reserves with his mates, newell Lowe and a few others , i remember Newell cos we were winning 2-0 and he scored a hat trick in the last 15 minutes , Walsh was a thug then , just shows you don't need much talent to get ahead in the game but he always had guts - i'll give him that .

I was at this game and Walshy had a stinker, but he popped up with the all important equaliser right at the death.

One of the very best games I've seen. Bergkamps's 3rd goal (Which he repeated against Argentina in the World Cup a few months later would have usually been good enough to win but Steve Walsh produced a superb header for a deserved draw.

i was there that night , what a game. who remembers at the end walshy walked straight through the arsenal team and wright who had been subbed started gobbing off , shat himself when walshy started.
