i agree with putzpie4U. I love real hip hop and when i here a certain sample used from a real producers it makes me go and research for the original piece which in returns makes me a fan of the music genre. i would like to personally say thanks and send a big shout out to the chocolate boy wonder soul brother number one pete rock for puttin me on to the great ahmad jamal. ever since i heard that piano sample he used in "the world is yours" ive been a big fan of ahmad. peace

@Putzpie4U Completely agree. Without sampling there wouldn't have been a Premier,Dilla etc. The problem with Hip-Hop(i really don't even know if I should still call it that...)and the producers of today is they don't delve into music, they just all use the SAME drum machine/programs...to the point where there is no NY/East coast sound...the beats just all sound like Down South Hip-hop. There used to be a MUSICAL aspect to Hip-Hop,a jazz element...

@flowerpower111 One of my buddies did sample this, but I tend to agree. Some things should stay untainted by producer's hands.

@MicJones wouldnt know where to start to be honest... also imo somethings should remain unsampled
@Putzpie4U I 100% agree with you. Thats one of the reasons i love hip hop. I love it when i find the actual song of a sample that was used. It opens doors to new music. Songs that i never even heard and im like "where the hell have i been?" lol

@MicJones Nonsense. If anything we need more producers sampling beats. If it weren't for them I wouldn't have ever found out about Jamal Ahmad in the first place.
