70013 oliver cromwell departs carlisle with a mighty whistle

70013 'oliver cromwell' departs carlisle after its share of THE FIFTEEN GUINEA SPECIAL as the 1T57 cromwell was running a good 15 minutes earlier before arriving into carlisle, cromwell then left for carnforth udgl with 2 coaches from west coast railway, i was fortunatly able to see this departure as i caught a class 185 to lockerbie to go past carlisle kingmoor to get the locos, i got back and 70013 was getting ready to leave...

Great clip, those chime whistles (I think that's what they're called) are the best steam whistles around in my opinion. Saw it in London Liverpool Street the other day after hauling The Norfolkman, I can tell you it that whistle sounded awesome inside that trainshed!! Also nice to see a former GE loco back and working hard on the GE main line - perhaps a new Thunderbird for NXEA??!!

thanks for the comment and im only 14 really so i wouldn't have a clue what they are called, but it runs well thats for sure, but i am unsure weather it beats the A4's whistle because they're sweet aswell and thanks again for the comment
