Lorikeets rave

'Aggro' and his wife are two lorikeets who live near me who bully all the other lorikeets.

After being fed lots of sunflower seeds they seem a bit more relaxed than usual and seem to just chill out a bit and only push the other lorikeets around a little bit.

Apologies for some slight blurriness on the right side of the picture. One of the lorikeets licked my camera lens just before I took this vid.

Take it easy on the sun flower seeds, Lori's are nectar eaters, and as much as they love sunflower seeds, it can harm them if they eat them too much or too often.

@verticalsmurf yeah I try to give them more grapes now than seeds. If you're in Sydney do you know anywhere you can get liquid 'nectar' that is suitable for feeding lories?

We use Wombaroo, it's a bit pricey but its the only thing our Lorikeets will eat (google it). Pet shops like Pet Barn (in Penrith), Berkshire Park Bird Farm (in Berkshire Park) and Ace Colonies (near Parramatta) usually have a small range to choose from.
